How much does it cost?

The fee is $250.00 per camper

There is financial assistance for those who are experiencing a financial hardship. We do ask for a $50.00 non-refundable deposit/camper.

How do I apply for financial assistance?

We ask that you put in writing your request and a short explanation as to why it is needed. No one is turned away for lack of money.

What is the camper/counselor ratio?

We have a staff of approximately 2-3 campers per counselor. Our counselors are available day and night.

What makes Camp Anew unique to other bereavement camps?

We are a “Faith Based” camp based on the Bible. We address the spiritual aspects of the Grief Journey in chapels using the biblical account of Joseph.  Check out our program page to find out more.

How does Camp Anew help kids who are grieving?

We recognize that we are unable to heal the broken hearted and that grief is a journey.  However, our desire is to equip children with tools to help them with their grief and to allow them—during the week of camp—to remember their loved one and share with others who have had similar experiences.

Do you do a background check on counselors?

Yes-each adult in contact with your child has undergone a criminal background check. In addition to a background check we also require references and personally interview each applicant.
